A masked protester burns a US flag. Two people burn the Israeli and US flag next to each other in front an NYPD guard booth.

A group of autonomous actors targeted the Consulate General of Israel in New York City in the morning on Wednesday, June 12. The American and Zionist flags were burned in protest of settler-colonial violence, dispossession, and genocide, from Turtle Island to Palestine.

The American empire is an active participant in the current genocidal onslaught, not only by funding and arming the Zionist entity, but with US military and intelligence presence in Gaza itself. The Zionist entity is an immoral and illegitimate state, built on the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people and constructed as an outpost of Western imperialism.

The Palestinian people have suffered for far too long under the chokehold of Zionism, aided, abetted, and driven by the unquenchable thirst of American empire—but we know that, through the steadfast resistance of the Palestinian people and the movement for Palestinian liberation around the world, Zionism will fall and Palestine will be free.

German Consulate Redecorated

A group of autonomous actors targeted the German Consulate in New York City in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, June 12. Actionists splashed blood-red paint on the exterior of the consulate and wheatpasted an official-looking apology from the German government for their active participation in the Zionist entity’s genocidal assault on Gaza.

The German state supplies 30% of the IOF’s weapons and is the second-largest supporter of the Zionist entity, behind only the U.S. In 2023, Germany approved $320 million in military aid to the entity — over ten times more than in 2022. Germany’s generous funding has made this genocide possible. Meanwhile, German leaders have criminalized the Palestine solidarity movement, making mass arrests and cynically banning protests in the name of so-called antisemitism. In solidarity with pro-Palestinian movements in Germany, the actionists demand that Germany recognize the Palestinian State and support the recognition of an independent Palestinian state in the EU.

Context

This action is part of a broader international escalation—undertaken in response to calls from Gaza—to hold accountable all entities that aid and abet the ongoing colonization of the Palestinian people. The Zionist entity relies on a network of puppet states, normalizers, and imperialist allies to maintain its brutal status quo. Other actions in New York City today targeted the U.S. Campaign on Palestinian Affairs and the Permanent Mission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the United Nations.

In a communique issued this morning, the New York City actionists write:
“Through our actions we continue to globalize the intifada. We locate complicity in the genocidal campaign against Palestinians among all nations who refuse to cut ties with the Zionist settler state, refuse to support Palestinian freedom and the right to return, and profit from the attempted annihilation of Palestinian people. We as dissidents in the imperial core urge comrades everywhere to consider all normalizers our enemies and join in creative resistance to every state actor and institution that aids and abets genocide.”

Why We Protested Nova: Confronting Zionist Propaganda and the Manufacturing of Consent for Genocide

On Monday, June 10th, Within Our Lifetime called for a citywide Day of Rage for Gaza in response to the US-sponsored massacre in Nuseirat Camp that killed over 270 Palestinians and left more than 700 wounded, as part of the ongoing genocide being carried out against the Palestinian people.

New Yorkers responded by flooding the streets and shutting down the zionist propaganda “Nova Exhibition NYC,” currently installed at 35 Wall Street. In defiance of the NYPD’s growing brutality against protesters, targeting of Palestinian Muslim women, and their pathetic attempts to defame organizers, Within Our Lifetime strongly reiterates our call for sustained action against any institution facilitating or justifying the genocide of the Palestinian people, including the Nova Exhibition, for as long as it is in New York and in any city it will travel to next.

NYC Activists Target Magellan Aerospace Corp (with Graffiti)

Action report: Autonomous NYC Activists target Magellan Aerospace Corp in Queens, which contracts with Lockheed Martin to manufacture F-35 jet parts to bomb civilians in Gaza and around the world. The Israeli military (IOF) just ordered more F-35s for Gaza using US military aid in a multi-billion dollar deal. With our tax dollars, Magellan and Lockheed Martin are profiting off the death and destruction in Palestine.

Graffiti at United Nations in Solidarity with Chilean Anarchists

For context about Monica & Francisco, see their bio on the June 11 website:

No strangers to repression, they were kidnapped by the Chilean state during the “Caso Bombas” until they were absolved of all charges related to a prior wave of incendiary attacks by anarchist groups. They were also charged for the bomb attack on the Basilica del Pilar in Spain in 2013, and were sentenced to 12 years in prison. After a number of appeals processes the two were allowed to return to Chile in 2017.

In December of 2023 Monica Cabellero was sentenced to 12 years in prison, convicted of being an accomplice in the double explosive attack against the Tánica building in February 2020. Francisco Solar received a total of 86 years in prison: two counts of sending explosive artifacts (54th Precinct and Hinzpeter) 12 years + 12 years. One count of attempted homicide of a carabinero: 15 years. One count of serious injury to a carabinero: 6 years. One count of less serious injury: 600 days. Five counts of minor injuries: 100 days (each). 500 days. One count of aggrivated damages (Commussioner): 818 days. One count of attempted homicide of Hinzpeter: 12 years. Two counts of placing an explosive device (Tánica): 12 years + 12 years. Appeals are pending at the time of this writing.

NYU Campus Cop Cars Disabled

Earlier this week, in response to calls for escalation from our besieged comrades in Gaza, a small crew of NYU students, faculty, and staff disabled several vehicles belomg to the Office of “Campus Safety,” which worked hand-in hand with NYPD pigs to arrest, harass, and suspend students for their participation in the Gaza solidarity encampments. Punctures were quickly and quietly made in each vehicle’s tires using an awl; from start to finish, this took no longer than one minute. These simple and easily replicable acts of sabotage serve as reminders to our genocidally complicit university administration: the student intifada did not end with the Spring semester, and will only intensify until Palestinian liberation is conclusively won.

We encourage our fellow NYU affiliates, and the Gaza solidarity movements on campuse across the country, to make divestment our bare minimum demand–we must continue our struggle until reparations for the violence already inflicted have been issued, and the university structure that awards governing poer to an unaccountable Board of Trustees (or Governors, or Regents, etc.) in the first place is completely overturned. We know that senior university administrators, as the morally deadened foot soldiers of whatever capitalist-dominated Board they report to, will never agree to fully divest from Zionist genocide and apartheid. Doing so would subject university investments to some semblance of democratic control, which the governing Boards, as a matter of pure self-preservation, will quite simply never allow. To win any of our demands that matter, then, we must first abolish the current structure of the university itself, and build in its place systems of higher education that reject the endowment/donor model altogether. In this vein, the movement of many of the encampments towards “People’s Universities” is one that should be closely studied and built upon.

Until this world is won, our resistance will escalate. If you want to take direct action but aren’t sure how, find friends who feel the same way, and study the basics of action planning and operational security together:

What/how many roles will this require?

How do we all communicate securely?

Is jail support in place? What kind of scouting will be necessary?

Which tools will we need, and how do we use them?

Start with low-risk mischief–tagging, wheatpasting, smashing, and slashing–to build the skills, confidence, and trust necessary for higher-impact actions. Study tactics from other movements, zines, communiques, and other sources both on- and off-line. Act bravely and carefully, and keep acting until the Zionist entity and Amerikan empire protecting it finally fall.

In rage and solidarity,

Xx

ALERT: Adams debuts plan to build new training facility for NYC’s various public safety agencies

New York City will build a new facility on the NYPD Academy campus where several city agencies with public safety functions outside of the police department will begin training their new recruits, Mayor Eric Adams announced on Friday.

Hizzoner announced the new “Public Safety Academy” during a promotional ceremony at the NYPD Academy campus in College Point, Queens on May 31. He said it aims to better coordinate operations across separate city agencies with enforcement arms while saving the city money by consolidating their training into one facility.

“We were so disjointed because of the color of our uniform or what our patches stated, instead of realizing we were one team,” Adams said. “Even if there were different jerseys, we were team public safety. Today, the announcement of this public safety campus is bringing all of that experience together.”

Those that will move their training to the new facility span from more traditional law enforcement agencies like the Departments of Correction and Probation to parts of the city’s government with border missions like the Departments of Sanitation and Parks. Currently, all of those agencies outside the NYPD have their own separate smaller training centers.

“We will learn from the Department of Correction and how they’re able to identify gang behavior within their walls,” the mayor said. “We will learn from Sue Donoghue, the commissioner of Parks Police, as they look at what is taking place on our parks and other green spaces … This is how you build a law enforcement apparatus that we can respond to the crises that we know are important for us to face day to day.”

The city is set to break ground on the new facility in 2026, with construction expected to wrap in early 2030, according to the mayor’s office.

The academy will be funded in part by $225 million earmarked in 2021 for a new DOC training facility, City Hall said. The campus will include both the training spaces specifically for the Corrections Department and multipurpose facilities that will be shared by over a dozen other city agencies.

The campus is part of a broader effort by the Adams administration to bring separate city agencies with public safety functions under one umbrella.

The facility’s development has been driven primarily by Adams’ Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks, who has spent much of his two and half years in office working on it, according to a report from [mainstream news source]. The paper reported that Banks hopes the academy will be a model for other cities across the country.

Autonomous Activists De-Occupy Brooklyn Museum

May 31

Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters have stormed into the Brooklyn Museum, breaking through barricades, pushing staff out and occupying the building.

Story from mainstream media:

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators swarmed the Brooklyn Museum and dozens were arrested Friday.

The New York City Police Department said 34 people were taken into custody.

The protests started around 4 p.m. in Fort Greene, where hundreds gathered to march near the Barclays Center.

Protesters made their way to the Brooklyn Museum around 30 minutes later. Video shows museum employees rushing to lock the doors as they approached.

Some protesters even scaled the building and unfurled a giant banner from the roof reading, “Free Palestine. Divest from genocide.”

A pro-Palestinian demonstrator, upper left, hangs a flag on top of the Brooklyn Museum during a protest demanding a permanent cease-fire in Gaza, Friday, May 31, 2024, in New York.

Brooklyn Museum officials said they did not call the NYPD, but police arrived on the scene and clashed with demonstrators before making arrests.

The museum said in a statement to CBS New York that existing and newly installed artwork on their plaza was damaged, and members of the museum’s public safety staff were physically and verbally harassed as protesters entered.

The museum closed an hour early out of concern for the safety of the building, its collections and staff.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators wave flags over the Brooklyn Museum during a protest demanding a permanent cease-fire in Gaza on Friday, May 31, 2024, in the Brooklyn borough of New York.

Police said the group behind the demonstration [Within Our Lifetime] has organized several others, including one near the Met Gala in May.

The demonstration came on the same day President Joe Biden said Israel offered a new cease-fire proposal, and as Israel continues its push further into the Rafah, a city in southern Gaza.

The protest also came ahead of the 60th annual Israel Day on Fifth Parade on Sunday. An internal threat assessment obtained by CBS New York said the event may be “an attractive target for an act of mass violence or disruption.”

Israel continues to face mounting international criticism over Palestinian deaths and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

US Army Recruiters Hit in Downtown Brooklyn!

On this so-called “Memorial Day,” a U.S. Army and Navy Recruiting & Career Center was targeted in Downtown Brooklyn in memory of all martyrs of Gaza and all the courageous people of the world who sacrificed their lives resisting U.S. imperialism. Doors were locked shut, blood red paint was sprayed across the front facade of the building, and “RAFAH” and “GAZA” were written on the windows, along with red triangles.

The genocide in Gaza is a joint US-Israeli project, and the US military must be held accountable for it. Yesterday, the IOF accelerated their bombardment of Rafah by decapitating children and burning dozens of people alive with American-made bombs and jets. As the Israeli Occupation’s military dominance continues, the U.S. will only expand and explore its military role in Palestine. The horrors we are witnessing today are a rehearsal for the future that the U.S. military and its partners envision for people of the world.

The U.S. military has done far more than kill people; it also destroyed the land, torching precious jungles and wildlife, ravaging farms with chemical weapons, and contaminating rivers and coastlines.

THERE IS NO FUTURE WITH THE US MILITARY!
THERE IS NO FUTURE WITHOUT GAZA!

Recruitment centers play a vital role in maintaining the genocide economy by targeting the working class and transforming them into killers. But much like the pigs in New York, the military is struggling with recruitment because the people are waking up to the true nature of these institutions. This is a crisis we must work to exacerbate.

From recruitment centers to weapons contractors, it is our collective responsibility to strike at American Military infrastructure in order to disrupt the conditions that lead to genocide.

“The myth that the imperialists should not be confronted and cannot be beaten is eroding fast and we stand here ready to do whatever to make the myth erode even faster, and to say for the record that not only will the imperialist U.S. lose, but that it should lose.”- Kuwasi Balagoon- Black Liberation Soldier, U.S Army Traitor

Eat it, Eric Adams

Seems like they don’t want this to get out, but… four nights ago we set an NYPD bus on fire in Brooklyn as a peaceful protest against the cops for attacking anti-genocide demonstrators and their repression of protestors of Cop City (a dystopian plague of a project attempting to emerge everywhere, including New Jersey).

The NYPD are violent suffocators of the people’s voice and will. They are terrorizers of the homeless in our streets, and are in concert with the genocidal IDF, who train them to better butcher our freedom.

They do it all with no consequences in their future and no fear in their faces–we can change that with fire. There are cop cars and genocide-funding businesses all over. From Cop Country to Gaza, GLOBALIZE THE INTIFADA!
