Photos: Pro-Palestine Protesters in Black Bloc Tag Storefronts and Buses, Block Streets

September 10, 2024

A group of Pro-Palestine protesters in black bloc marched in NYC and tagged MTA buses and storefronts including a T-Mobile and a Google Store. Streets were blocked with rolling trash bins and construction barriers.

Chants included “ELON MUSK MUST DIE” and “WHOSE STREETS/NO STREETS/TEAR UP THE CONCRETE”.

The bloc seemed unwilling or unprepared to either defend itself or disperse quickly, and several arrests were made.

Six Citibank Locations Sabotaged in Manhattan

An autonomous group — more than half of which were Jews — hit six Manhattan Shittibanks on Sunday night to remind corporate ONCE AGAIN that there is NO BUSINESS AS USUAL DURING A GENOCIDE. We epoxied card readers and door locks and covered them with cement-glued stickers. Shame on citi for its complicity in the relentless, horrific atrocities against Palestine and Palestinians!!!!!! The IOF is now escalating the genocide in the West Bank, as well! IGNORE zionist crocodile tears! Zionism IS NOT Judaism! Shut down their depraved, genocidal arguments anywhere and everywhere!

As the martyr Basel Al-Araj tells us, we must dismantle the idea of the “US” in our minds to truly understand that it is not possible to support the Palestinian struggle for liberation without opposing its imperial life support system. Copmala Harris is fully invested in throwing our tax money into the death machine, as well. Decolonize everywhere! Fight from the belly of the beast!

These actions are not hard to do. Please escalate for Palestine and humanity. We will not rest until Palestine is liberated from the river to the sea.

Statement of the CUNY 28: “Palestine is everywhere. We are all outside agitators.”

The following statement was issued today by the CUNY 28 at their press conference outside the courthouse where 8 of the CUNY 28 continue to face unjust charges for their participation in the student encampment for Palestine. As CUNY for Palestine writes, “On 4/30, hundreds across the city were arrested at protests and Gaza solidarity encampments. While the charges have been dropped for most, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, CUNY, and the NYPD continue to pursue the heaviest charges for 8 of the now CUNY 28. In addition to the previously known 22, there were 6 additional comrades arrested that same night also facing felony charges. We’ve since connected with the 6 other comrades who were brutalized and arrested that night at CCNY, but who were isolated by the bureaucracy of the carceral machine and are also facing heavy and unjust charges.

TELL CUNY TO MEET THE 5 DEMANDS. DROP THE CHARGES FOR ALL OF THE CUNY 28. FREE PALESTINE.”

Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network stands in full solidarity with the CUNY 28 and join the demands to drop the charges. As we noted previously, ”

Escalating to end a genocide is not a crime — indeed, it is a duty, particularly in the heart of the imperial core, at a moment when the resistance forces of the region, from Palestine to Yemen to Lebanon to Iraq and beyond, are on the front lines sacrificing and fighting for the protection and liberation of humanity. We must all make clear that the raids and arrests will not intimidate our movement nor cause us to de-escalate our tactics and methods of struggle, but will only lead us to greater unity, resistance and confrontation, to end the genocide and for a free Palestine from the river to the sea.

The strong and principled statement of the CUNY 28 is below:

As of today, tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been martyred over the last ten months. This is a continuation of 76 years of the genocidal ambitions of the zionist state, a continuation of the Nakba. These numbers do not account for the countless thousands missing under the rubble in Gaza. An entire population is being starved, while over 20,000 are held hostage in the West Bank.

Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq continue to answer to the Palestinian call by confronting the zionist entity, smashing all illusions of the occupation’s invincibility while they deal with the entity’s outbursts. “The Axis of Resistance bears its responsibility not only in supporting Gaza but in doing more to serve the primary goal, which is stopping the aggression in all its forms.”

The fight is not just in solidarity, but in resisting assimilation to the colonial project. The CUNY 28 attempted to answer the call made by the steadfast Palestinian resistance to escalate from within the belly of the beast. We resist with Gaza.

Since October 7th, numerous CUNY administrations have issued disingenuous statements about anti-Semitism on campus, yet they remain silent on the ongoing genocide. Instead, CUNY actively represses and condemns any support of the Palestinian right to self-determination and liberation, contributing to the widespread racist dehumanization of Palestinians.

As the zionist entity continues its destruction of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank—and as the United States maintains its genocidal hegemony from Palestine to Harlem—the working-class people of the world escalate. An encampment should not normalize the institution—it should disrupt it, dismantle it and abolish it.

The occupation of buildings by students and outside agitators symbolizes reclaiming space and disrupting normal operations to draw attention to injustices and to force institutions to address the demands of protestors.

The night of the CUNY raid, “public safety” brutalized protesters. CUNY “public safety” are the pigs! The pigs are the IOF! Anyone that chooses to play the role of a pig is the enemy. A principled encampment should never collaborate with the pigs.

Since the violent escalation by CUNY and the pigs, all 22 agitators were charged with 3rd degree felony burglary—a clear representation of state repression against those of us who choose to act against genocide. At the same time, the CUNY Board of Trustees introduced a resolution to spend 4 million dollars on a private security firm that advertises its services to pigs and zionist-trained “experts” to spy on pro-Palestine protesters.

CUNY agitators spent more time in custody than Columbia protesters, and are still facing higher charges and continued backlash. The narrative of “good” vs. “bad” protester is a narrative pushed by the state to divide our efforts along class and racial contentions, but in reality the fight against the same enemy unites us.

We will not be intimidated into silence by the state.

Eight of the 22 have decided to resist this blatant state reprisal. We will not be bullied into silence by any court, nor Alvin Bragg and his many zionist donors. More than 90% of people serving time in federal prisons right now accepted coercive plea bargains instead of going to trial. The judicial system is built on mass-incarceration, capitalizing off of modern prison labor, which is just another form of slavery.

We are fighting our charges, not only because we do not recognize the state’s claim to authority over our actions, but also because we believe that challenging these charges is a necessary stand against an unjust system that seeks to silence dissent and criminalize resistance. It is hypocritical of the state to criminalize property damage at a protest, while signing lucrative contracts to destroy entire communities.

We are not just fighting for a Free Palestine but for the liberation of all. We fight for ourselves and our communities. Palestine is everywhere.

Remember, “we are all outside agitators.” Whether we are fighting in Atlanta, New York City, Sudan, or Palestine, the enemy remains the same. The zionist entity escalates, so does the Palestinian Resistance. The pigs and institutions escalate, so do the agitators of the world!

NYC Anarchist Banner Action in Solidarity With Palestinian Resistance

In response to the call for action for Palestine, we put up this banner in Queens, New York to connect the struggle here to the valiant resistance in Palestine. While this may be a small symbolic action in comparison to what the fighters are doing in Gaza and the West Bank, we hope they will see this as a salute to their efforts. The work they are doing on behalf of the Palestinian people is felt around the world in struggles that have not yet blossomed, but see the potential in fighting for those who have been systematically oppressed by the United States.

Long live the resistance!

Let the flood of Al Aqsa drown all settler regimes!

Death to the US!

Death to the Zionist entity!

A Friend of Mine or a Friend of Ours? – An Essay On Vouching

Zine: A Friend of Mine or a Friend of Ours? – An Essay On Vouching

[READ]                               [PRINT]

Vouching means different things to different anarchists. For some, to vouch for a person means the vouchee is felt to be trustworthy and competent enough for an action. For others, vouching means that the voucher has concrete evidence of the trustworthiness and competence of the vouchee, and is willing to stake their reputation on that evidence.

To agree on whether to vouch for someone or not, we need to be clear about what we mean by vouching. We propose three components of a vouch that might be helpful in discussing that meaning: trustworthiness, competence, and the voucher’s reputation.

Trustworthiness refers to whether or not the vouchee has or will intentionally or unintentionally assist law enforcement. This includes that the vouchee is not currently, and has never been, a law enforcement agent or worked for law enforcement as an infiltrator, that the vouchee has never been a confidential informant and is not currently one, that the vouchee will not intentionally or unintentionally reveal information to those not involved in the action, and that the vouchee will not cooperate with any investigation in the future, even if facing prison time.

Competence refers to whether the vouchee is mentally and physically capable of doing the proposed action, including not abandoning the action before it starts, not having a panic attack during the action, and not becoming physically incapacitated during the action.

Reputation refers to the consequence of giving a bad vouch. Depending on the severity of the violation, and risk of the action, the reputational consequences could range from not taking the voucher seriously in the future, to not doing actions with the voucher or vouchee ever again, to retribution against the voucher and the vouchee for deception or gross incompetence.

Below we give additional detail on the strength of evidence that can be used to assess the trustworthiness and competence of a vouchee, along with a short discussion of the voucher’s reputation, and the consequences of a bad vouch.

Terrorism is good actually.

August 7

We busted up the windows of a Ralph Lauren on Madison Ave for supporting Israel’s genocide. Ralph Lauren operates stores in lsrael and has faced calls to boycott over its partnership with L’Oreal, a “warm friend of Israel”.

We targeted the heart of Upper East Side because the filthy rich who live there feel immune to the death and violence that supports their lifesteyle like a trust fund. These American capitalist elites sleep feeling safe and sound in their beds as the US war machine rains bombs and facilitates genocide and suffering around the world to line their pockets. Electoral politics and organizations only refine and perfect this system, so grow up and smash some shit. Break their blood-thirsty silence and terrorize the rich. EAT THEM.

Ralph Lauren is also a “proud supporter of Team USA” and the official designer of their Olympic uniforms. Team USA wears their clothes to represent US imperialism and capitalist greed to the world. The Olympics are allowing Israel and its sponsor the USA to compete as if the last 10 months of genocide never happened. Fuck the Olympics, fuck Zionism, and fuck all nations. Well we smashed Ralph Lauren’s shamelessly proud display of US nationalist propaganda, and will continue to smash symbols of US empire everywhere.

From a Matter of Principle to a Matter of Tactics

Zine: From a Matter of Principle to a Matter of Tactics

[READ]                    [PRINT]

Anarchists who want to take action, when confronted with the choice of tactics, often default to large mass actions, like black bloc. Imagination is ceded to tactical hegemony; autonomy diminishes; creativity recedes; resistance is franchised with stale, processed, prepackaged ideologies and tactics; questionable organizational methods like spokes-councils and democratic decision making give a participatory veneer to a sealed deal–just like in any liberal democracy; most participants spectate rather than act, learning by passive imitation of the leaders rather than active involvement in intimate relations with experienced trusted friends.

We hope to put an end to this stagnation by giving anarchists some ideas about tactical alternatives to large mass actions. Here we discuss Coordinated Attacks, an extension of single group clandestine actions to multiple groups operating in loose collaboration simultaneously. While the tactics discussed here are not new, we believe our analysis can help anarchists better understand their action options, avoid getting into a rut of the same old tired tactics, choose the option most suited to their objectives, and most importantly, be creative and experiment with new ways of acting.

15 CitiBank Locations Sabotaged

More than 15 CitiBankkk locations were sabotaged Monday morning across so-called New York City. We jammed the locks and card access readers, sprayed the windows and buildings, and issued warnings in red paint underscoring the company’s investments in genocide: “ABOLISH ISRAEL, FREE PALESTINE” and “THIS IS A WARNING: DEFUND NOW.”

CitiBank facilitates billions in bonds sales for Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, which manufacture missiles and fighter jets used by the IOF to kill hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza. CitiBank is also the largest U.S. bank operating in the zionist entity and heavily invests in the technology sector there, contributing to the “tech-washing” of apartheid, occupation, and ongoing genocide. From its shameful history in Haiti and apartheid South Africa to financing IOF arms and settlements, CitiBank has long profited from settler colonialism.

We call on all people to strike imperialism wherever and however you can. Close your accounts with complicit institutions and move your money to a local credit union. We must continue to escalate until there is full Palestinian liberation and return.Other tags included:🔻DEATH TO KKKORPS🔻CITIBANK FUNDS GENOCIDE🔻DIVEST FROM GENOCIDE
